| Are they new plants? because there is different feeding required for different stages of the plants life eg bearing fruit or not. |

| I would also like to know this, as I have planted a pair of blueberries early last November. Mine were planted with a very large amount of organic material/rotted dung and Browngold, with a dusting of iron sulphate to ensure acidity. Is there anything else I should add which would be beneficial to a newly planted bush? |

| You should give them a high potash feed like tomato feed every so often during the growing season. You can also raise the acidity by spreading peat or pine needles around the base of the plants. |

| I have also bought two blueberry plants which I have just put into large pots, for this season at least. Has anyone had successful fruiting when the plants are kept in containers? Thanks for the tip about the high potash feed...... |

I have two plants in pots, one is two years old the other I only got this year. I got berries last year and both plants are full of flowers right now. I feed with Liquid Seaweed about every few weeks. is this too much? I also water stright from the hose (I don't have a water butt yet) which I read they don't like so much. so far so good. Good luck with yours.  |

Yeah be careful of that hosepipe mains water especially if it is the kind that causes scale in your kettle or on your shower head, a tad too limey for our blueberries. Rain water is best if you can capture it. |

| Good advice, thanks for that...I forgot about the watering problems, but I'm planning to get water butts....isn't it wonderful to feel summer has arrived? My blueberries are also full of flowers, so I'm quite excited as it's the first time I've ever seen them growing. |
